Approval of November Minutes:  Pam Gay accepted & Jill Bouley second: 

 

Treasurer's Report – Jill Watson

  • General Account – craft fair money deposit.
  • Book Fair made aprox $2192.00.  Amber Quigley accepted.  Pam Gay second.

Updates:

  • Gift Wrap Fundraiser -  Everything has been picked up.  All money has been accounted for.
    • A few order forms were misplaced.  Working on it.  $4900.00 profit from the fundraiser.
    • 133 total orders.  We have to sign a contract in January if we want to use them again.  We'll discuss to see if it's worth it to do it in the beginning of the year as opposed to another time during the school year.
  • Spiritwear -  Pam Gay presented:  Needed to sell at least $1200.00 worth of stuff to make a profit.  Last year we sold $1182.00  We only sold $834.00 this year, unfortunately, we didn't make a profit.
  • Link Art Gallery Auction -  Jen Dubis organized.  Great event!  $1286.00  Money will go towards updating the Link Art Gallery
  • Bill 450 – Marketing for Book Fairs & other fundraisers.  There was a hearing on Nov. 10th.  It's on hold.  No decision has been made yet.

Fund Requests:

  • $250.00 for t-shirts – To order more long sleeved Tee's for the Bakery.  Doug sold $220.00 worth of tee shirts @ the Bakery.  Amy accepted  Amber Quigley second the motion.
  • $50.00 for bake table needs- Lynn Parsons & Mary Rooney are in charge of the bake table.  Money for supplies for the bake table.  Amy accepted  Joan Petersen second.
  • $50.00 for conference snacks – Liz will make sure we have supplies.  Jill Bouley approved,  Amber Quigley second.
  • $100.00 for Karen Moore gift card for all her hard work for the Craft Fair.  Joan Petersen accepted  Jill Watson second.

Upcoming Events:

  • Conference Snacks for staff on Thurs. 12/3 & Friday 12/4 – We've got a number of folks bringing in cheese & crackers, fruit, yogurts, trail mix. 
  • Craft Fair on Sat 12/5 (VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!) Karen Moore presented –  Need a volunteer to come in at aprox 6am on Saturday.  Direct folks where to go.  We have 1 parking attendant in the morning and 1 in the afternoon right now.  We may need an additional person in the morning to help.  Liz will double check if the parking lot cones will be picked up.  Working on a clean-up committee to start around 4pm (after the crafters leave the bldg.)  The stage in the AP room will be used as the 'restaurant for the day'.  PTO will have a table in the front foyer.
  • Cookie Swap on Monday 12/14 – 7pm.  Bring 2-3 dozen cookies to swap & a container to bring your cookies home.  Bring a light appetizer to share.  Items to be provided by PTO will include:  plates, napkins, utensils & beverages.  Hope you can join us!
  • Comedy Night on Friday 1/22 –  7:30 – Comedy Show starts @ 8:30pm.  Tickets are printed & ready to be sold.  It'll be at Mission Oak Grille in NBPT.  Folks can have dinner downstairs before the show. (call for reservations).  We'll have a silent auction.   $25.00 per ticket.  Need a committee to get some silent auction items.

Future Events/Fundraisers/Ideas/Discussions

  • Search for Superintendent – we have 2 names to be on the search committee.  Anyone else interested, needs to submit their             name by Friday 12/4.   Interviews will be held in February.
  • Pizza sale for Bark Mulch on the playground – We'll call local landscapers to see if they can match our donation for the playground mulch.   Aprox $2200.00 needed.  Little Cesar's Pizza Fundraiser.  Sell pizza kits – each kit includes everything you need to make at least 3 family sized pizzas @ home.

Calendar of events

  • Any other ideas?
  • School Mall Fundraiser – Similar to the Boxtops Website.
  • Gift Card Fundraiser – not @ this time.
  • Honey Baked Ham Fundraiser – Jill Bouley to look into this possibility
  • Game Wright Night – company provides games to play – then families can buy              
  • them at the end of the night.  Games are from $5.00 - $15.00.  Liz will get more detailed info.

Principal's Report – Christine Kneeland presented: Teachers are ready for their conferences this week.  Latest conference is aprox 4:30-5pm on Friday evening.
