Pine Grove School Code of Conduct 2008-2009

We ask everyone to help make Pine Grove School a happy and peaceful place where every member of the community feels safe and respected.  By working together, every day can be a good day!!

When we arrive in the morning, we will:

Acknowledge each other with a smile and a greeting

Take our hats off when we enter the building

Put toys or electronics in our backpacks until the end of the day

Get a pass to breakfast if we are running late

When we are in the hall, we will:

Move quietly, single-file, staying on the right side of the hallway

Respect student work that is hanging on the walls and admire it with our eyes only

Make sure we have a hall pass if we need to leave the classroom

Go directly where we are supposed to go, and not dilly-dally

At Lunch, we will:

Move quickly and quietly through the lunch line, say thank you when we are served, and take seats where assigned

Stay seated, speak quietly to those near us, and raise our hands if we need help

Show good table manners

Observe all safety procedures, including helping to keep classmates with food allergies safe

Line up quickly and not talk after we are in line

Move silently to the playground door

At Recess, we will:

Talk out our problems and talk to the Recess Monitor if we need help

Play appropriate games that have been approved by the Recess Monitors

Not throw balls or other objects in a way that will hurt people or property

Not engage in any roughhousing or play-fighting

During Assemblies, we will:

Be courteous listeners

Show respect and enthusiasm for performers by applauding appropriately

Sit where directed by teacher

Respond immediately to the two-finger signal for silence

Make sure to use the bathroom before going to the assembly

At Dismissal, we will:

Walk to buses and not jump or run

Remember not to swing our backpacks or play with toys while we're walking

At ALL Times, we will:

Use respectful words and body language

Listen carefully

Treat others the way we want to be treated ourselves

Be safe, work hard, and do our very best
