Dear Parents,
Please find the bullying presentation that has been used at the recent community gatherings. Parents who attended have felt they were very helpful. We will be having follow up gatherings to talk further about the role of the witness in preventing bullying and how to recognize when you are becoming a bully.
We also recommend the book "Don't Laugh at Me" by Steve Seskin and Allen Shamblin (published by Tricycle Press). It includes a CD with Peter Yarrow singing a version of the song "Don't Laugh at Me." This particular version is appropriate for all grades and we played it for the kids at the gatherings. It is very powerful.
