Life-long resident opens yoga studio
There's a new way to loosen up in town. The Buddhaful Souls Yoga Studio in the Market Basket plaza on Turnpike Road is now open, offering classes for adults, children and teens. Life-long Rowley resident Elissa Cuddy is the owner and one of the three teachers at the studio. "Our classes are all about deep stretching and finding a balance with breathing," said Cuddy. "We are looking to help people move with fluidity and grace."
Classes for children ages 9 months to 5 years old focus on lessons of honoring themselves and their friends, and building coordination. Parents are welcome to join in. Prenatal classes just started this month and a "just guys" class will start in March. "It's a big commitment to open a business, especially in this economy, but I knew I wanted a place in Rowley and the timing was right when this space opened up," said Cuddy, whose studio is in the space previously occupied by A Basket Gift store.
In addition to the group classes, private and semi-private classes are available and students can pay by the class or purchase cards or various packages, or pay monthly. The studio will soon add a tea bar and in late spring, a smoothie bar. For more information about Buddhaful Souls Yoga Studio, go to www.buddhafulsoulsyogastudio.com or call 978-360-9092.
