To The editor:
Once again, the back field of the Pine Grove School was filled with happy kids, their parents and members of the community. They were all there to enjoy the Fourth Annual PTO Ice Cream Social, held on May 11. The event is held each year on Election Day to promote voting as well as to gather as a school and community for a fun evening. The profits of the event benefits the students of the Pine Grove School.
Many thanks to our sponsors: J & N Carpet and Collins Overhead Door. Thanks as well to White Farms/Sal's Pizza, for providing the delicious sundaes and pizza at a reduced cost, and Dave Moon for donating the use of his dunk tank, which was a huge savings cost and much appreciated.
We cannot thank enough our brave volunteers who sat in the dunk tank in the brisk evening weather. They were Pine Grove Assistant Principal Margot Lacey, Pine Grove teachers Morgan Boselli and Jillian Pinto, and Pine Grove parents Rick Frithsen, Greg McDonough, Bill Ganzenmuller, John Quigley and Craig Campbell.
Also, we are so appreciative of the many PTO volunteers who gave up their valuable time to help on the night of the event. They were: Johanna Lent, Aimee Morland, Michelle Thissell, Mary Berardino, Lori Flodman, Karen Muzi, Kim Daniels, Tricia Savino, Tina Knight, Jenny Patterson, Joann Anderson, Lily Anderson, Louden Craveiro, Lyn Macaskill, David Masher, Mike Sheehan, Kate Sheehan, Melissa Gagnon, Patti Cummings, Cyndi Leonard, Kelly Brosch, Bridget Eberhardt, Amy Rotberg, Anne Ganzenmuller, Carla Panceriera, Lisa Manganello, Aleta Budd, Pamela Toppi, Majbritt Quigley, members of the the Cadette Troop 60220, Skylar Roach, Liz Tracy and Michelle Ouellete. Without these volunteers, we would not have been able to have such a successful night.
