Students in grades four, five and six have been introduced to the Massachusetts Children’s Awards Program.  This is a voluntary reading adventure.  Students can read as many of the twenty five titles on the reading list as they wish.  They can keep a record of the titles they read. In January there will be optional book discussion groups. In March we will celebrate the end of the program with a pizza party and election of our favorite books. In order to be invited to the culminating event participants must have read at least five of the titles on the MCBA reading list. Their teachers must have “signed off” showing that the student has read each book.  This program is a great way to help our students enjoy reading and sharing their thoughts on a book.

We are pleased to inform you that we will be offering a summer enrichment program on site at Pine Grove School.

SUMMERTIME IS A TIME TO HAVE FUN!
Students who will be entering Grade 1– Grade Six

Our Summer Kids Club will offer enrichment themes including; Oceans, Dinosaurs, Space, Backyard, Earth, Sports, Fourth of July, Summer, the Circus, etc.  A detailed program schedule of planned activities will be included with registration confirmations. In-depth interest in each theme will be guided by children’s interest. Sports and physical fitness activities will also be included with enrichment themes on a daily basis.  Parent surveys indicate that the program will be very well attended and if we reach capacity enrollment, we will need to wait list late registrations. If you are interested in having your child participate in our PGS Kid’s Club summer program, please return the registration forms with a $25.00 registration fee. A minimum of two days per week is required and parents will be billed for days missed. Written confirmation or wait list information will follow.

• June 28th - August 13th
• Monday – Friday Sessions Summer Tuition
• Full day: 8:00 – 4:00 $40.00 per day - $200.00 per week
• Sibling discount $36.00 per day – $180.00 per week for each additional child
• AM ½ day: 8:00-12:00 $20.00 per day- $100.00 per week
• Sibling discount $18.00 per day – $90.00 per week for each additional child
• PM ½ day: 12:00-4:00 $20.00 per day- $100.00 per week
• Sibling discount $18.00 per day - $90.00 per week for each additional child
• If interested in a 5:00 PM pick up, an additional $5.00 hourly charge will be added to the daily rate.
